9 May 1992 - Womad Festival, Recinto Hípico, Cáceres, Spain

On Spanish National Radio you can listen to (and legally download: "Podcast" > "13 Mayo 2011 Discópolis 7651 y 7652 - Womad Cáceres 1992 - 13/05/11" > Descargar) a two hour special on the 1992 Womad Cáceres festival with performances by The Pogues (Spider on vocals), Bob Geldof, Immaculate Fools, Los Tupamaros, Jah Wobble, Los Lobos, Salif Keita.

The Pogues tracks are:

Repeal Of The Licensing Laws
Dirty Old Town (at 44'30)
The Sunnyside Of The Street
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah
Star Of The County Down (Andrew Ranken vocals)
Hell's Ditch
Fiesta (with Los Lobos)

There is also "Honky Tonk Women" (at 10'55). The presenter says it is by Bob Geldof I would say it's also the Pogues. Spider does not sing the second verse ("I laid a divorcee in New York City...") though. And you can hear a piano, which The Pogues never used on "Honky Tonk Woman", did they? Strange. A collaboration? But with whom?

The piano man could be James McNally from Strom (later Pogues).

The first Bob Geldof track is The Great Song Of Indifference , which came out about 1990 on Vegetarians Of Love. The song was often said to have a "cod Irish" sound .
My guess is Bob Geldof is singing Honky Tonk Women along with Spider.Could well be Bobs band of that era.But this is only a guess.
Was this a two day festival ? Bob appearing on first and Pogues second day?Or different stages?

Big up Pablo K for posting link.

The Pogues played the second night, but featured as special guests for Bob Geldof, who played the first night and performed together on stage Honky Tonk Woman...

Wow thanks for this. Just listening now. The pogues between 1991 and 1994 ish always intrigued me.
I love it when a plan comes together.
