"If Ever You Go To Dublin Town" is the correct title - Shane mangled the lyrics slightly! (I was at the gig)

There's a great version of it on 'Humour Is On Me Know' Ronnie Drew's solo album which also includes Shane's 'The Dunes'

I believe Shane and Ronnie recorded a duet of this song in the studio in 2001 or 2002, but it's never seen the light of day.

The Dunes ???I have only just heard this song.(Thanks Kufen)
When you sy Shanes The dunes does this mean he wrote it or just recorded it cos id love to hear it.Sounds like an old song really a bit like the Auld Triangle.
I have got the Ronnie Drew and Jah Wobble version of thr Dunes, quite a novelty i thought.

Shane Wrote it.. on "the great hunger" Ronnie Drew talks about how he asked shane if he had any good songs and he gave him "The Dunes"
