8 cd bside / outtakes collection

Post Thu Nov 30, 2006 4:48 am

i've come into a copy of this lately, on two data dvds. having some trouble extracting the data, tho (don't know if it's the discs or my drive that's the problem). assuming it works, i'm still missing any sort of track listing. i know i saw one on line, but can't find it now.

anybody know about this & able to offer or point me in the direction of a track listing?

cheers!

Three Pogues Rare Tracks and B-Sides

Post Sun Mar 04, 2007 2:46 pm

I just ordered three rare Pogues B-Sides and Singles CDs off of E-Bay the other day. Some of the songs include radio sessions of The Boys From the County Hell, Greenland Whale Fisheries, and And the Band Played Waltzing Matilda. There is even live tracks from the Self Aid show in Dublin in 1986, and The Pogues live on The Tube in 1985. The standard B-sides are still there (the ones that are available on the new remastered CDs) however it also includes song from the LILT album, Young Ned of the Hill (dub mix,) Hell's Ditch (instrumental,) and even Murder Ska (live.) The third CD is more live singles including London Calling and I Fought The Law with Joe Strummer. Anyway I can't wait till these CDs arrive, I will "Completely Pogued," afterward.

I figured why not, however, the ever closer box set is supposed to have songs that are not even on these three CDs. Glued Up and Speeding, The Traveling People, and even NW3 are nowhere to be found on the three CDs I just ordered.

Just received this today and let me tell you an excellent buy. The seller even included a DVD including The Great Hunger (documentary about Shane MacGowan). Also, Shane on the Frank Skinner show, Shane and The Popes live on the Conan O'Brien show in 1997, (promoting The Crock of Gold,) Shane and Sinead O'Connor's duet on Haunted, and finally two short documentaries concerning the making of Fairytale of New York.
