Already Bought Streams of Whiskey

Post Fri May 07, 2004 2:13 am

So I already bought "Streams of Whiskey" and now I find out the band is pissed and doesn't want us to buy it. What the hell do I do now? I mean, I want to respect the band's wishes but I also shelled out some money for this disc. I'm in a bit of a quandry here. Does anyone have any advice?

don't worry about it. it's not that big a deal and there's nothing you can do now.

Live on the edge. Play it really loud, but only at night when the band are asleep and won't hear.

Words to live by, DzM. I played "If I should Fall From Grace With God" for my wife last night, she'd never heard the band before. She said "I like it and would like to dance with you to it, but I can't understand a word that guy's saying."

I bought it before I was told not to, to be perfectly honest(and i hate saying this) its absoloutly ABYSMAL. I play streams of whiskey(the first track) the crowd cheer, the intro comes on - band sound fucking great /me gets all excited about the cd . . . then Shane starts singing, really badly, like he's doing it on purpose nearly. I couldn't listen to the rest of the song.

The only song I think he sounds ok on is sayonara, funny thing is during Young Ned of the Hill Terry's mic doesn't seem to be working and ya dont hear him properly

The gig in RDS main hall seemed much better!

Streams Of Whiskey live CD

I just got the bootleg (Live on rainstreet) and something tells me it's the same concert as streams of whiskey, even though I haven't heard it. Is it so?

Yes, according tovarioussources Streams of Whiskey is indeed a re-release of a bootleg, Live on Rain Street, from a 1991 show in Leysin, Switzerland.

What's up with all the talk about this being a bad record. I like it.. Got a great sound and Shane only get lost with his lyrics on time (if i should fall..).

I just realized this topic is in the wrong part of the forum, anyone feeling like moving it to bootlegs ;) ?
