I do not know if that has been asked before...
If I check the show reports and reviews of the last couple of years, I often read that The Pogues are getting better and better the longer they play together... And that brought the the question up, if there will be a new live DVD in the near future. I only know one of the Show at the TC Club in London in the late 80s.

So Mr. C...is there anything planned ?

There's nothing planned right now. We filmed our New York Nokia Theatre shows a few years ago, but the record company rejected the film as "too dark". Literally too dark. DVD filming requires quite strong light even to achieve a gloomy picture. Shane refuses to have lights pointing directly into his eyes, so he has to be lit in ways that get around that, but unfortunately, it also makes him effectively unfilmable.

gutted about no new Material, Seems like there's never gonna be new stuff comin' out into record stores, I know The Dubliners bring out DVD''s, new compilations of old and new live things and studio recordings alot and there OLD SKOOL... it's just a shame bowt the pogues that aint really old or owt, even tho every1's doin other projects now and that the pogues seem strictly tour only as for a get togeather and to earn sum good coin. Perhaps that's wot it's all about just to meet up and earn cash, cuz fans wil always follow them on tour like.. so they don't need to bring out any new material or live stuff... shame like but there's other bands out there like lol. Still hope the pogues can allow some live stuff or new things

I know these things are never as simple however I thought the footage I was watching on the screens at Terminal five looked quite good quality. Couldnt you just release that as a DVD:)

Thanks I should have added with the Australia gigs being 'outdoors' however I certainly dont know enough about these things to know if it being outdoors would make a difference or whether they would still need to shine big shinny lights at Shane

We are hoping to release a new live DVD in March 2013. It will not, however, be filmed in Australia. Mr MacGowan's lawyer is currently negotiating in respect of permissable stage illumination.

Wow that's cool. Can I ask where will it be filmed?? As if it's not Japan or Aus that could possibly be more up and coming gigs? Or not ha ha
