After a long I watch "poguesvision" last night again. I find all the vidoes very good. Streams of Whisky is the total opposite of WHAM Video "club tropicana". Was White City shot during a concert and in which venue Misty Morning Club was filmed?
Is there actually an official video of How Come? Years ago I saw a promo video with any good quality.

White City was shot at a Pier on the New York docks. We did do a gig there but the footage was shot especially for the video, in natural (day)light. Misty Morning was filmed at the Electric Ballroom in London. I think there was a promo for How Come (and also Once Upon A Time) but I can't remember what was in it.

Can someone confirm that the region designation would prevent viewing on a US dvd player?

Depends. If the DVD is not Region 1 then it won't play in a Region 1 restricted DVD player. It's pretty trivial to make just about any commercial DVD player be multi-region though.

I only just discovered that it's possible to change the region designation on my Mac. Though apparently you can only change it a number of times, so I suppose you have to be careful you don't end up stuck with the region you don't want to be stuck with. A bit like my old granny would've said about how you don't want to be making a face because you'll get stuck like that if the wind changes.

I did buy Poguevision online. After a long search I found a seller who claimed Region 1, but based on the seller's location I realized there was risk involved. The disc wound up being region 2 and my Blu Ray player could not play. Luckily I dupped the DVD over to Region 1 so I can watch.

Definitely some gems on this DVD.

My favorites include Streams of Whiskey and Rainy Night in Soho. The latter may be the best video I think the band has done. I also love the Fiesta video. Some great stuff. Nice item in my collection even though the original is Region 2.

Rowland Rivron, comedian and drummer. He is perhaps best known as one half of "Raw Sex" from the French and Saunders TV show.

The video is, I think, largely populated by professional lookalikes of which the Diana-alike remains the most striking.

The Pogues appear as themselves. Sort of.
