Barrowlands 12-13-86 & Murrayfield Stadium 8-1-87

Gooday,

For those of you so inclined, the two shows listed are newly available on dimeadozen.
Both are recommended live listening - - although not at all affiliated with this site!

For the unanitiated, the description of the Barrowlands show is as follows:

"...Its the Barras,
it Xmas, its the Pogues and its just a jumping party. As you might guess, its wild and there
is lots of crowd noise and singing - glad it wasn't me taping it..."

Highlights of this one include an early version of Broad Majestic Shannon, the seldom heard Ballinalee, as well as the Straight to Hell cuts of Rake at the Gates of Hell and the then recently unveiled If I should Fall...

The Murrayfield show is apparently a support slot for U2 - their set, apparently, is also available via the same site.

Keep an eye out for more shows coming in the next week or so as we near St. Pat's - aka Pogues week for anyone living on the eastern seaboard.

Is the intro music from Murrayfield on it?

I enquired about this a while ago on here - fantastic piece of music - was trying to trace the composer etc.

Two great gigs. Thanks for the nod.

This sounds great! I've been looking for something like this for quite a while since I own everything official from the Pogues (except a few Best-Offs and stuff). Though the studio albums and box set are always worth listening, I'm always glad about new stuff especially live recordings with at least okay quality. Just wondering if it is illegal to download those bootlegs? Just asking because I would really like to listen to them :P
