Pogues on the Young Ones?

Was it ever considered to appear in an episode of the Young Ones just as Pogues friends' Dexy's, Madness, Motorhead, etc. did?
And considering the band's connection to Adriane Edmondson?

The Young Ones was achingly trendy and so, no place for The Pogues. Besides, we didn't know Ade until later.
