Who agrees with me that these guys are far the best Irish Folk(rock?) band around these days? I bought (which is, IMO their best album) Long Dim Road a few years ago and eversince then I'm in love with 'em.

goodbar, they only charge about ten dollars to see 'em. you don't need to suck any cock! tell you what though, last st pat's they played here with spider stacy. first they did a set and then they came back on with him and ripped through a set of pogues stuff. i thought i had died and gone to heaven. i'd seen shane and the popes prevoiusly in the same venue, but he obviously didnt want to be there and it was all a bit too dark for me, but the tossers and spider was glorious!

yeah, but i live in seattle. i doubt they'll ever come here, since they seem to play in only the midwest, northeast, and california areas.

so if some dude came and said "suck it and you can see the tossers" i'd get down on my knees in a heartbeet! :P

I guess The Tossers came to Portland a few years back, but I missed the show. (Out of town at the wrong bloody time!)

What do you think is the best Tossers album - I'm feeling the itch to buy a cd and need some suggestions

Nate, I'd start with "Purgatory" for now. They should have a new album later this year, along with the Mando player/singer A. Duggins solo album.

Why is that? It was the first one I bought (few years ago) and I still listen to.
