Hello, I want to start a Pogues tribute band. Would anybody who lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, USA, be interested in joining? It's just me for now, I guess, and I don't play any instruments. But then again, neither did Spider Stacy. So maybe I can take up the tin whistle or something. And I can sing pretty loudly. Anyway, please let me know if you're interested!

How about an all-girl version? 'Course I only play fiddle (and that not too well) - and I've read from previous posts how the fiddle is viewed by most of the band

Maybe I can learn to play the mandolin... I can sing a bit too. We might be crap but we'll have lots of fun!

I imagine your shows will be a popular event too ... Kinda like the Sacramento AC/DC cover band, AC/D-She.

Okay, I happen to be a girl as well. How is the fiddle viewed by most of the band? All-girl would be cool, I'm just afraid that it would make it take a lot longer or almost impossible to get this band together. Where in Northern California are you located, by the way? Anyway, thanks for responding. I'm really excited!

Now we need a clever punny name too. Any ideas, anyone?

Haha, or AC/Daisy

I saw one in Montana called Hell's Belles. They were probably more enjoyable than the real AC/DC.

Yinan - I'm in Sacramento but I'm willing to drive a bit.
Girls from the County Hell - that would be wicked!

Here's the thread I referred to earlier about how the band views the fiddle
