McGnarley's Rant

This was/is a Vancouver, British Columbia band. Their status is uncertain for two reasons, they went on a hiatus about eighteen months ago, and neither hide nor hair of them since then have I found. The second reason is that they changed from an irish/gypsy/drinky sort of band into something more "sophisticated", which I hated.

Anyhoo, they made an album called Fisherman's Pride which is a fantastic album, particularly the title track and Ode to Billy. I very highly recommend it to anyone who likes The Pogues and Flogging Molly. They used to tour all over the Northwest of the USA and went to Europe a number of times. Catch the album before it disappears for ever.

Just tell Mr. Chevron that music is too valuable to be kept and hoarded and should be distributed free to all and sundry to better the lives of humanity as a whole.

Yes, I will accept that premise the moment the State recognises the value of art and music as much as you do and rewards me with a regular and unmediated stipend. Until then - YOU GOTTA PAY!!

Mr. C, the view expressed above is not my own, simply a sure-fire method for rant elicitation from a poet such as yourself. My own view is that is that if you aren't willing to pay the price for the music and you want to hear it, you should learn how to play it yourself.
