This may not go down well, but i saw them at the NIA when they supported our beloved Pogues, and i must say that i thought they were pretty naff, first impressions and all.....Boomtown rats, now there was a band..............

I've got to agree, I saw them support the Pogues at Brixton last year and I was dissapointed.

It all seemed a bit cheesy and naff, especially their cover of Field of Athenry.

Each to their own I suppose.

i seen them on that tour last year as well. i reckon saying they werent good is a bit unfair as they were the support act and if they were headlining they may well have done a complete different set which you guys may have liked

Caps and Bottles is one of my favorites tunes of theirs. The first two releases (Boys on the Docks EP and Do or Die) are their best in my opinion.

Yeah hard to get into them in such a huge venue when you don't know all the songs.
If they play a small gig near you, you should try them again.

I can only judge them on what i saw......and yes if they do play a smaller venue i will go and see them again...but it still felt a bit "Thrash Irish"
