The old Hogs website is down at the moment, hence the problem. But you are very welcome to explore the new website www.thehogs.eu , which is not only much more up-to-date, but also has many more interesting corners to explore. :)

P.S. How come you got the error report in the sweet moon-laguage, I mean Czech language? :) The old website "lives" (well, is lying dead now) in Ireland and has nothing to do with the heart of Europe...

OIroiosh,

It is different playing out here because it is never in large concert halls, theaters or festivals, we are playing in a popular "Irish" pub but it is really more of a disco bar/night club which is fairly loud even very early in the evening before we even start a gig,
We play a lot more different songs out here than in the Czech Republic because while in the Czech Republic we had to do a set list of songs and they were also on the new album which was important and also if we deviated from it then Vaclav Koubek who was also on tour with us would not know how to cope so we kept it as simple as possible, over here we are "unrestrained"
Zuzana, as you know, our older website is currently down and I will check it out with the guy back in Ireland who designed it.

More hogging again last night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OIroish,

I dont have any band pictures taken yet of over here at least nothing to do with playing music, only some "hogging" photos of myself, Kieran and Mickey just hogging away and we have loads of them already on view from the Czech Republic, so its the same stuff.
If anything of value happens to get taken on the camera then I will send it on.

Busy out here, its warm as well in the daytime in the upper 20´s. I got a word from Ireland that we had storm force winds 2 nights ago and torrents of rain, what a difference, our Kieran is keeping up his "tourist" spirit and is in the swimming pool everyday, myself and the other guy are still enjoying looking out at it.

OIroish,

Not sure when we´re headin back to Ireland, they want us to stay out here forever but thats not going to happen, other things in the fire and other committments.
We´re probably going to hang around for march and all the activities of St.Patrick´s "week" (notice the emphasis on ("week")!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was out here last year for Patrick´s week and it was just unbelieveable what was going on, something else!

We´ll hang around for march and maybe even longer but we will be needing a rest after leaving here and We´ll be nearly a month on tour again in august in the Czech republic and then we are invited out for a tour in Norway in september or november,
Must run, talk again,

Michael

Indeed it would be the best choice of all to have Shane over for the opening night, God only nows where he will be in the middle of may, I am going to return to Ireland on the 4 of april and rest up for a few weeks before I come out here again for the grand opening night, Ding Dong in Nenagh told me that after we come back to Ireland that they want us to come doen to Nenagh to do a couple of gigs so after a couple weeks rest, then myself, Kieran and Noel will go down for a few nights, if Shane is around I´ll put it to him, even if he´s not I´ll tell the gang (Tex´s Rider´s) about the new bar opening and to pass on the word.
If Shane happens to be there, he could very well agree to do it but he does travel alot and he might have some tour on for mid may, anyway, we´ll see, whatever happens I´ll be inviting "The Nenagh gang" over for that week, even if they cant make it for that week, at least the bar will be there whenever they feel like going for a "crazy weekend"

Looks like Shane is free after the 2nd of May (so far!).
What is your plan, Michael? Do you know when you are going to be back to Canaria? Would you peep to Limerick, for Dolan's Fest, on the 2nd?

Hello Mac Rua,

Well the fact that Shane will be free after the 2 of may is definitely a good thing for sure, I'll be going down to do a couple of gigs in Nenagh a couple weeks after I get back to Ireland and if Shane is around I'll be having a word with him.

If Shane is anything like me with "free time" (time off) then he will want to relax and just get away from it all !!!!!!!!!!! (Tis a hard life) !!!!!!!!!!!

Another thing is unless Shane was getting well paid to go to Gran Canaria to open the new bar officially, and have his flight paid (first class) and have his hotel paid for, and we're not even talking about drink yet, then he might not be inclined to go.
The 2 guys who are going to open the bar are scraping everything they have together just to make it happen, I'm not so sure they would be able for any extra costs.
Like I said, I will be telling everyone in Nenagh and Shane himself if he happens to be hogging in Philly's or in the Half Barrell.
I'll be coming back to Ireland on the 4 of april (a week from tomorrow) The new bar is likely to be opening in late may, so I will go out again in late may, I have to be there for opening night myself as I am one of the musicians who will be playing there.

Dolan's? No, I dont think I'll be going to Dolan's. I played in Dolan's in Limerick 2 times myself. Nice place, great pub food, great stage, great sound engineer.

Howye everyone,

This is my last day/night on the island for the time being, am away back to Ireland tomorrow,
I did gig last night in playa del ingles, hogged afterwards as you´d expect, hangover as you´d expect.
Ok talk to ye all after I´m back home, Noel, tell Scruffy I´ll be down to Nenagh in around 3 weeks or so to do the gigs Ding Dong arranged in philly´s and some other place he mentioned, Kieran and cunt #2 will be with me. Need rest in the meantime.

Talk to ye all then.

OIroioish,

I went over to Gran Canaria on the 1 of january so it was a bit over 3 months, I have done 3 and a half month tours in Gran Canaria, I once a did a 6 month tour in Hong Kong, I did a 4 month tour in Thailand and also did another 6 monther in the U.S.A.
Time seems to go very quickly for us, its like you blink your eyes and its over so I guess that speaks for itself (we never get bored)!!!!!!!!!! and also means we enjoyes ourselves.
I'm back in Ireland now. arrived on friday, what a difference in weather here, has been snowing here for the last 2 days, temperatures ranging (yesterday) between 3 and 5 C. Last night was - 4 and widespread ice on the roads (inland) but way too windy here where I live for ice to form, gale force northerly winds hammering us......biting cold. When I left Gran Canaria was 30.C, you start sweating after coming out of the shower.
