Well at least she let WEW speak for himself instead of providing her inane, in-depth analysis as she did in her wretched article on gender based music preferences.

Looks like Europe gets a big ol' dose of William Elliott Whitmore. Thanks for the heads-up Esther!

I'll lend my stalking shoes to any of you Europeans that need them.

crap, it's been a long time since I've been on the board. I do hope people knew that he was playing a free show in nyc earlier today.
It was pretty great, he played on the loading dock behind City Winery in Soho for nearly 1.25 hours. Longest I've ever seen him play. My father-in-law is smitten and had him autograph his copy of the new album for him.

I've got tickets for the Tractor Tavern - Nov 01 - a small bar in Ballard - north of downtown Seattle. Perfect spot for Will.
Who's up for a pint and some fine banjo playin' ?
...ain't it funny how you used to know everybody in these parts...

Hey Steve! I just might be able to swing that one. How much are the tickets?

Tickets are 8 bucks! How can you pass that up? It'll cost more than that in gas to get down there.

i think it came to 24 bucks for 2, with charges included

if we carpool in my geeky little Toyota Townace (4 cylinders of turbo-deisel power, seats up to 8!), it may cost only that much each.

Opening for December, 2009 Pogues shows

Post Tue Sep 15, 2009 7:16 am

It's been confirmed that William Elliott Whitmore will be providing support for all the December shows. He's fantastic! Don't miss him.

Fantastic! Lucky us!

I have heard him only in a small venue and wonder how it will work with a large and noisy pre-Pogues crowd who customarily stay in the pub until the start of "Straight to Hell"... Well worth going over in time though.
