Man, oh man... I am barely crawling out of bed halfway through the day. Yes folks, saw WEW last night. This was our first time seeing him as the headliner. If you ever get the opportunity, DO NOT miss out (and be sure to take the following day off work).
Small venue, me smack dab in front of Will, just like when I saw Spider at Matt Hensley's, although no jumping around this time. (and no, I am not a name dropping c*nt, I just saw the chance to use Will, Spider and Matt Hensley in the same sentence and took it

)
But back to the show... The foot starts... launching into "Diggin' My Grave", it seemed like the faithful crowd was more than willing to accompany Will on his paved "road to hell". And then... he played everything we shouted out and more. Dry, One Man's Shame, Johnny Law, Black Iowa Dirt, yep, all that and so much more. A heartbreaking "Porchlight" that silenced even the tatoo artist/asshole in the crowd that previously wouldn't shut-the-fuck-up.
WEW bantered with the audience and shared some pearls of wisdom he comes up with while driving his van. For instance, he is freely giving away one of his many ideas for a T shirt. "Cinco de Fucking Mayo". There ya go. If you print up the shirts be sure to send him one.
Oh, and don't be shy about introducing yourself to him. He is one cool cat.
