Oooh, fave band-threads are always funny...

Besides the Pogues (must be the band I have listened to the most in my life so far):

Fiddler's Green ("independent speedfolk" from Germany)
Subway to Sally ("medieval folk/metal")
Schandmaul (medieval folk rock)
Black Sheep ("fastfolk")
the Incetabokatables (dead band, but still cool; folk-rocky)
Thanateros (German metal folk)
the Waterboys
Shane MacGowan & the Popes
The Bucks
Greenland Whalefishers (Norwegian punk-folk-rock)
Mike Scott
Mikael Wiehe (Swedish bloke, dunno how to describe the music!)
Eric Fish solo (German bloke, but otherwise see above)
Rammstein
New Model Army

+ trad Irish/Scottish thingies like 5 Hand Reel (anyone here got any mp3s with them? Cannot listen to my old LPs anymore :( )

Aaaah! so much music - so little time!

I'am a Levellers fan as well. I got into them by accident. I went to see them in sheffield. The pogues were supporting them. It was the first time I had seen the pogues (Circa Pogue Mahone) and i thought i may as well stay to see what the levelers were like. The rest is history as they say
