What do you reckon? Bob Geldof says ""Rock music in the Seventies was changed by three bands — the Sex Pistols, the Ramones and The Saints".

Tonight (Friday 4 July 2008) is Nick Cave Night on BBC4, for those who have access to it: http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcfour/

All the fun starts at 2130, with Mr Cave and the Bad Seeds in Session at St Luke's, London
Followed at 2230 by Songwriters' Circle, featuring Mr Cave, Mr John Cale and Ms Chrissie Hynde
Followed at 2320 by a compilation of Mr Cave's appearances on the Jools Holland BBC show.

Should be good. 8)

I was being dragged along to see the latest Indiana Jones flick tonight, but it looks like BBC4 has provided a timely substitute :D

New Bad Seed announced!

Post Tue Feb 17, 2009 1:50 am

I assume many of you Medusans already knew that Mick Harvey left the Bad Seeds a couple of weeks ago....well his replacement has been announced....

Ed Kuepper has played in some fantastic bands in the past, including the seminal line-up of the Saints, The Laugfhing Clowns and also has a bunch of awesome solo tunes....Plus he's a top bloke....I believe Nick Cave &TBS are playing some European festivals including Oxygen and T in the Park soonish...:)

Mr Cave (and Mr Earle, and Mr Bragg, and Mr Ryan Adams) are featured in a Guardian article on musicians who also write books:

Cheers for that, Steve.

Old Nick also did a thing about the book here: http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/audio/2 ... unny-munro

Slightly irritating presenter, but worth a listen.

It's a brutal little film. Have you read his book, "And the Ass Saw the Angel"? It's good, but very uncomfortable.
