my favourite country singer and one of my all time favourites. anyone else? what do y'all think about goin to see walk the line? i'm pretty excited about it and i'm gonna go see it tomorow.

yeah im also a fan of johnny cash, one of my favourite country singers too.

i think "walk the line" would be well worth watching.

I never really considered Johnny a country singer but a rock n roller.

Like all the other great singers of country songs Johnny Cash was a soul singer!

I remember reading an interview with him from just a couple of months before he died, so incredibly moving. :cry:

I remember the day he died i was getting out of the hospital and they played the ring of fire on the radio. :(

I actually had the day off that day and loaoded up all my Cash vinyl and went to the local where I knew they had a turntable and got drunk ALL DAY LONG.....

Must have taken some guts to crawl out of Nicojack cave like he did.....Pick up the unearthed favorites if you do not own them its the Rick Rubin recordings worth it !

I never heard much of him until i heard Hurt. I already knew the song from Nine Inch Nails, but when they played it on one of the muic channels i had to listen to it again. Have since Bought America IV and America III. Both Great albums.
