Not only because it contains "Fairytale" and "Aisling" (the latter in a slightly different tune with added lyrics), but fine songs as "Scapegoats", "Blackjack county chains" and especially the title track.
But generally speaking I find most of his albums a bit overproduced, and to me the songs work much better in a sparse arrangement. I haven´t heard Christy´s latest live CD yet (which is a pity), but his "Live at the Point" is a great album.

Your dead right Paddy. I saw Christy once at The Fleadh in Finsbury Park London, about 1992. He came on after The Saw Doctors rocked out, full effects, amplification, the works.
There were about 20,000 in this field all pissed up and rowdy. Christy walked on to an empty stage, except for a stool and mike stand. Within 5 mins we were all putty in his hand.
Not a sound, but everyone singing Ride On. Pure class.
