Like most of the Mahones albums, I find that half the songs are great and the other half is meh. But it's just me.

Been a fan of the Mahones for over 12 years but saw them for the first time the other night with the DKM. Anyone else go to the show? Check out some photos I got http://www.skapunkphotos.com/2013/03/13 ... c-3-12-13/

I've seen the Mahones many times since they first toured for Draggin' The Days. While in those days I referred to them as the next best thing to The Pogues, their current format (live?) doesn't do a damn thing for me. I haven't bought or listened to one of their albums since Hellfire Club sessions.

I've seen them live a couple times in the last few years and it's just noise and screaming to me. The last time I really enjoyed their performance was when they toured with and backed Terry and Phil in Canada in 2003.

Just had a listen to the new album "The Hunger & The Fight Part 1", sounds good. Folkier than the albums before I think

They played with DKM last week. They were good though I preferred Blood or Whiskey
