I just read on their web site that the Tossers are about to embark on their first European tour. Though the dates have not been posted, I'd expect them all over the UK.

Hmmmm.....wonder if they might open for the Pogues this winter?

I think they might be supporting the Murphys in the UK but then possibly doing their own bit. I would be so happy to be able to see them twice here in Belfast or barring that traveling down to Dublin to see them. Next term is going to be so much better for live music than this one.

But sure they're doing more than 2 dates. They specifically say on their website they are pumped to play Belfast.

Where in the Netherlands do they play?

It seems they are only playing one gig in Germany, in fucking Berlin, and the Netherlands would be far nearer for me.

More Tossers than you know

Post Mon Nov 19, 2007 12:25 am

Everyone -- The T. Duggins "solo" effort -- Undone -- is well worth purchasing, if you are a Tossers fan. As you would soon learn after buying said cd, the otehr Tossers play on nearly every track in some combination. Here are the highlights in my opinion:
* I wish I were back in Liverpool -- fantastic -- Heather, I'm sure, would love it. Even a Baltimore reference.
*Goodnight Irene -- Love that ole trad... done well
*Boots of Spanish Leather -- A Dylan tune. Very nice, with a local Chicago las singing the duet.
*Monto -- fun yet trad version
*Broad Majestic Shannon -- two guys in a studio late at night laying down a classic in good style, like any other great folk song
*Shoals of Herring -- WORTH THE PRICE OF THE ENTIRE CD IF YOU ASK ME. Beautiful song. Some have said here that Tony doesn't sing well. I would say this song counters that point of view. A great song, and a great version.

Cheers!

You didn't like Goodnight? That's the only song I could listen to over and over without ever being bored!

I liked it. But I wouldn't put it in that top tier. But then again, I do appreciate that it was an original Tony Duggins/Tossers song. :)
