I think they are not picky for an entirely different reason.

Well, also because they just like to play, so like they said in an interview, they will play all night long anywhere and with whomever without getting paid.

Never heard teh "without getting paid" part, but yes, that's more along the lines I was thinking.

Saw them last night here in SA. My first pit, after hanging around the margins for years... only a couple bruises this morning.

The entire band was amazing. Tony Duggins is the nicest guy in the world, a real gentleman. I hope they come back.

Yippeeee!!!

Get there early. They went on at 9:30 here. They were the only opening band, so they played for over an hour!

Wow, what a show! Before the show Tony and the whistle player were walking up to the stage and arguing, next thing you know Tony throws down his mandolin and shoves the whistle player up against the wall. 10 minutes later the whole band came back out all looking pretty pissed at Tony. He was extremely drunk and even called us Baltimore during Dicey Riley. It was all ages so you couldn't drink in the part of the venue where the stage was and that didn't make him any happier. In between all of the drama though they played some incredible tunes. Maidrin Rua/Tell Me Ma had to be the highlight of the night for me. They closed with a blazing version of The Pub. At one point Tony started singing Donegal Danny by himself and the fiddle player (very nice person btw, we were chatting with her outside before the show) gave him the dirtiest look in the world. Overall an incredibly enjoyable night of great music. And the Krum Bums might just be the worst band I have ever heard, you could definately tell who was there for them and for The Tossers. I look forwrad to the next time they play around here.

Well, that's not good. The whistle player is his brother, Aaron, and the fiddle player, Becca, is Aaron's wife.

They do put on one hell of a show though. I hope they make it through this tour and mend things.

Excellent show last night by both the Tossers & the Street Dogs.Tony dedicated 'Did It All For You" to Philip & thanked the Pogues for making him feel "that what he was doing was cool" playing Irish music. They did "Irish Rover" about 3/4 of the way through, and dedicated "No Loot...",to DeeDee Ramone.Tony was trashed, but didn't miss a lick in the performance. He probably threw down half a dozen Guinness' during the set.Met Aaron before & after the show, and Becca was selling the merch after the show!!
