The USA has far more viable markets for most touring music than Uganda, Nepal, and North Korea combined.

Obviously, yes. Then again, a band like the Real McKenzies might have had a point where they noticed that their music was more appealing to fans in European countries than in the US and therefore gave touring Europe the edge over touring America.
