At least you're not being all Lionel again...

Check through your Dubliners CDs- it's a song they covered.

There will be no singing the sash in my company thats for sure. The only orangeman I had near my car was plastered over the bonnet. Whilst listening to a nation once again on the cd player

Trashcity (or anyone else), if you're still interested in getting tickets for the Cambridge folk fest, there's someone trying to sell weekend tickets at face value on the message board: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/mbradio2/F2142825

And I also know someone who has one single weekend ticket (no camping) on offer. Face value again to someone who needs it. (And who isn't a tout.)

To bring this back on topic... I just listened to Dempsey again and I ahve this to say:

AAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAA!!!

lol i cannot listen to him without busting into laughter. Songs like 'Dublin Town' with lines like:

"Rowelling dowwn ta Dob a lin Taown
Comin from da Nort soide
Headin Sout bound"

And:

"Gettin down... to the sounds.. of the oirish and jam-hay-can in Dob a lin taown"

And best of all:

"Am I getting too serious for ya? This is suppsoed ta be a love song... but it IS a love song....... because I LOVE MA PEOPLE!"

ROFL pure entertainment!

Then you have songs like Party On and Great Gaels Of Ireland which are less amusing and more an aural holocaust.

For a mean dublin accent you have to watch podge and rodge "a scare at bedtime" the one where the neighbours are at it with eachother and the fella with the tash gets done for a double murder.

What are we goin-a-tell da paple at the howsin asowsiashion
