Not that I've ever seen in the world of architecture, Philip. But this raises the hoary old question - are the works of man 'outside' of nature, or merely a part (albeit a dysfunctional one) of it?

The Mero in the title is the" Maro" I believe, the name given to the cinema in Mary street, at the junction with Wolfe Tone Street. The PMPA insurance company which failed used it as an office, after its cinema days were oover. I never heard it called anything else. If the guy had six pence he'd get a good seat, the cheap ones were the "fourpenny woodeners" or wooden benches. The other geographic references tend to confirm this. Kieran Fagan,
