A Tribute to the Pogues
Saturday, March 07 | 9:00pm

Some of Vancouver’s finest musicians perform the songs of one of the world’s most-loved bands!
Shane MacGowan and The Pogues’ have had a massive impact on the music scene, influencing musicians across all genres. MacGowan’s poetry has resonated with young and old alike for 30 years and their songs have been covered by hundreds of artists worldwide.
Tonight, we celebrate their brilliance and their music. Come hear some of your favourite Pogues’ tunes, from If I should Fall from Grace with God to Rainy Night in Soho, and more – sung and played by a few of your favourite local musicians.

Mmmmmmmm........tempting.......only $22 a ticket......................and $1250.00 for the flights :lol:

Just saw this thread today. I've had tickets for weeks, and will be there! Hope to see you, Low D! The Imperial is not that big, we're bound to bump into each other
...ain't it funny how you used to know everybody in these parts...

Lovely to see you & your lovely daughter the other night, Steve. As for the rest of you, you missed a great night. The highlight for me mighta been "Young Ned of The Hill" by The Vagabonds, i think they was? Kudos to Babe Gure for doing the LONG version of "And the band played Waltzing Matilda", but she had the pipes to pull it off. The only stinker was CR Avery, who performed "Kitty" with the chorus of "Haunted" solo at the piano, screaming high up out of his range. He really should have played that one for somebody else first....
