I've seen an add-on for forums that allow members to check their spelling before posting... Maybe an idea? ;-)

Btw, my very first CD was the Chieftains - An Irish Evening. Wonder where it is... I did buy a second one too, but it bored the hell out of me. I guess it's one of those bands that I only "need" one CD from.

Yes, Redemption Song (it's on the The Wide World Over: A 40 Year Celebration album).

Don't worry, Irishman. :) Tastes change. Hope you don't regret saying that Irish Rovers are good, though. ;)

I was going over all my old posts today and i saw all these posts some made no sense and others were just there to insult and attack people. I can't believe i was like that.

I like all Irish music now though!

Not a big fan but when they collaborate with others such as Costello, Sinead,or Van Morrison it can be fantastic.
Irish Heart Beat with Van is a great lp.

I've always loved 'Bonaparte's Retreat' as well as all their other albums, and I think they are an important cultural institution and great maintainers of Irish musical tradition. Not everyone's cupán tae, possibly, but a very worthwhile project over several decades carried out by dedicated and talented members. Here's to many more years of music from them. Nár lagaí Dia orthu.
