Just came across these guys by accident.

I'm thinking they're similar in style to The Pogues and was wondering have any of you lot heard of them and if so what are they like on stage

I'm quite impressed by what I've heard so far, to the extent I'd love to see them live also.

I saw them supporting The Tossers in Cologne about two years ago. They were quite good, though the sound mix was awful.

Mr IRISH BASTARD just announced to be support band for The POGUES in their hometown Münster, an arrangement which. to my modest and prejudiced mind, is an absolute win-win-situation for all involved, especially the audience

Yes, they are okay, so are Flogging Molly, Tossers, Dropkick Murphys, etc...but sorry they don't even come close to one single Pogues' song. Don't misunderstand me, they are good bands in their own rights and it's certainly not about competiton with the Pogues or anything, but I'm personally simply not interested in them. I tried them out, they were good but the Pogues were always miles ahead and I simply ended up wanting to listen to the Pogues and not to one of the others. It is nice that they play this kind of music, but all of them basically can't create or reinvent the magic that the Pogues have....they have a right to exist and play this and I'm not doubting their talent and stuff, but I really don't need them when I can listen to or see the Pogues in concert. Ciao!

Mr Irish Bastard was founded 2005 in Dublin during a pogues concert. This said the singer recently in a interview. A good place to start a band.

I fail to see your point. A lot of bands sound the same. Not many bands create something new. And when they do, they usually just take something that already existed before and they add a twist to it. Most punk rock bands sound the same. Following your logic, we shouldn't listen to them and just stick with the Ramones until the end of times.
