Fairy Tale of New York by the cast of 'Brief Encounter'

Post Tue Dec 22, 2009 5:45 pm

Dear Forum

Please find a link below to our Christmas gesture from the cast of the New York run of the award winning show 'Brief Encounter' - currently running in St Ann's Warehouse, Brooklyn. Each of the cast perform the various lyrics in keeping from their character in the show.

Merry Christmas..

Eddy - one of the musicians on the show.

Lovely idea Eddy and nicely executed. Did the rest of the ensemble take much persuading to do this?

Unexpected, original and quite charming. Hope you're all having fun over there in DUMBO. I already know your run is a big success. Please send my best regards and seasonal good tidings to Susan Feldman while you're there. Happy Christmas your arses!

For those of you who've not yet been fortunate enough to visit St Ann's Warehouse, it is one of the coolest theatre spaces in the world, not least because it is literally in the shadow of the Brooklyn Bridge.

... and host to Joe Strummer's last ever American shows, a string of five, full of great American classics like "Walk On The Wild Side" and "Blitzkrieg Bop", there's some videos somewhere, lemme see...

The link doesn't work anymore -- it says too many people viewed it. Can you reupload it??
