Sigh No More is the itunes single of the week and available for free download (from the UK store, no idea about elsewhere).

I really love the tunes too, but they're a band who do not come instantly to mind when trying to think of them, I spent 10 mins at the juke box the other night thinking "what are they called again???" ... before putting something else on.

But I do love the tunes.

On a diff note, anyone seen Steve Martin on the banjo? He's superb. He'll be playing on Later with Jools this Friday on BBC2 !

Caught my daughter listening to M&S on her i-pod last night. Moment of great fatherly pride tinged with worry that she might be deafening herself if I could hear too. :?

Same price as I've paid for my tickets for here. Cheap at the price. And their live shows are pretty fantastic.

Mind you, last time I went to see them, the tickets cost just 7 quid. Which is a bargain in anyone's language.

Aye lad, them were the days, won't see prices like that again in our time...

I thought Little Lion Man was a great single, so I acquired the album.

The lyrics aren't up to much are they? And the singer's got a touch of the Camden Whine in his voice that you hear in groups like The Wombats. Some good tunes though, even if the arrangements are a bit reliant on the gang's all here backing choirs. They wanna be content at finishing a song in 2 minutes fifty nine, too.

I like this band but I like the instruments and idea a lot more than the execution. Hopefully this opens up the mainstream to a London group with banjos that has balls.
