Warsaw Village Band

Has anyone seen this band?

They're playing locally here in a couple of weeks' time. Publicity for the gig is calling them "the Polish Pogues".

I'm tempted to go, but I'm also being tempted by Camille O'Sullivan on the same night. As it were.
Likes the warm feeling but is tired of all the dehydration.

They're great, go see 'em. Lots of droning, which i quite like, but i realize is not everyone's bag, unless you're into bagpipes, hurdy gurdies, or the Velvet Underground.

Thanks, Low D. From that description they sound fantastic. Can't beat a bit of hurdy gurdy.
But then I'm still being tempted by Camille on the same night... Damn clashing dates. I am afflicted by indecision.

Sorry, didn't mean to mislead... they don't have a hurdy gurdy, but to listen, you might think they do! They use some sort of droning folk fiddles.

Still sounds just the kind of thing I'm partial to.
I missed the gig though. :(

I missed her too. It was all what you might call an unfortunate series of events. Or non-events, to be more accurate. :(
