I know its a poor substitute but I'll be home in Boston for Christmas so going to see the Street Dogs rather than the Pogues in Belfast or Dublin. Should be good anyways tickets went on sale a few minutes back for people signed up for the fanclub thing I dont know for normal peoples.

Really Like the Street Dogs say i'd probably rate them above the Murphys but maybe its because everyone likes the Murphys these days?

Anyone here into the Bouncing Souls?

The Street Dogs remind me a lot of The Bouncing Souls!!

Yeah love the Souls! Wish I could see them open for the Bosstones in a couple weeks.

I love the Souls on albums but I saw them live with the Street Dogs in Boston and there was no comparison. The Souls played a lackluster set while the Street Dogs had the whole crowd going mad.

Yeah I agree. It seems in the last few years their live shows have gone downhill. Last time I saw them they forgot lyrics, had to start songs over a few times, etc. maybe they arent into it anymore.

I heard Everybody Out! had to cancel this tour because of visa or immigration problems.

They were never on the Boston bill anyways. It's Street Dogs, Darkbuster, Death and Taxes, and Jason Bennett and the Resistence..

Good gig last night. Its funny how the crowd changes a little bit each year though. More and more students seem to be creeping into the Street Dogs audience which is a great thing but also waters down the whole 'punk rock cred' and makes for more assholes at the show. The openers were great especially Death and Taxes who I hadnt really heard before more straight old school rock and roll than anything else they kicked ass. Of course Darkbuster had the crowd in a frenzy which was great fun as for the Dogs themselves totally on form I was up front for the whole set and managed to be one of the first 5 people or so on stage for 'Boston Breakdown'

And last night in Albany was fucking superb.Still missed Everybody Out!,but Darkbuster was top of the line, and a handful of new songs mixed in...even opened with a new song.Dogs were crazy.Great selection from the 3 cd's,good sound, good crowd. And we got a special treat...it was the first time they ever played it live.Mike said they fuck around with it in rehearsals but never had the balls to pull it out.Well, they did last night. They did a dead on cover of "Straight To Hell"!!!Dudes,it was a moment to treasure, note for note. What a great show!
