Just seen that they will be coming to Europe this summer so IO might check them out. I ordered a cd from the internet (the guy in the shop said: the Who?, no I said, they have broken up years ago. Guy didn't understand of course) but I want to know how their live gigs are
I just bought the Bowls "cheap" seats for Rufus Wainwright yesterday
Ha....ha.....I just looked at the Hollywood Bowl seating chart;I've never had a worse seat in my life.I'll have to upgrade.Still...guaranteed entrance for $17.10 is amazing.

i saw this band last a few months back
in the orange lounge in TO
i was pretty dissapointed actually
whoever plays the strongs on the album does NOT play them live
the band members are terrible players of cello, and stand up bass
but, the viola player is actually good
and also hot as hell
The girl cried out a few times and the old man slept with his mouth wide open and his bad teeth showing.
I almost went to see them last week but decided against it after hearing a live recording on NPR. I REALLY don't like it when bands spend about five minutes trying to get some weird sing along started.
And I liked their older material much more than their last album.
Sorry if this has been posted before. The Decemberist's Colin Meloy on "Rum Sodomy and the Lash"
I just disovered this band exactly one week ago and think they're great.
I have tickets to that one. Saw them last year at the Wiltern and it was a great show. Another friend just saw them in San Frnacisco and they were minus one female musician, and she said they suffered for it. But I can't remember which woman was missing.
At the show I was at a few weeks ago in Atlanta, Jenny (the keyboards/accordion) was there, but not the woman who'd been playing a few different instruments earlier in the tour. I didn't think they were missing anything at all, and they put on a very entertaining show.
