Do we read the same text, Meowhouse? Coz my version clearly calls it “rumour”. Journo states nothing and offers it to his readers to reproduce the climate in the venue. Have you ever been waiting in crowded places? For a delayed gig, delayed plane departure or just somewhere in office? As soon as a group gathers rumours about possible reasons for delay begin to float about. It’s the usual way of self entertaining and frustration venting. I bet there were tons of much wilder rumours in the crowd. There is always a person in the know who’ll swear on his mother’s tit he saw Shane being kidnapped by aliens so what?

And I can easily imagine Shane in a wrong venue patiently waiting for situation being solved. Just don’t blame Shane :) Blame my wild imagination..

BTW Looks like we’ve got another entry for our Green Book – True Fan Code: True fans find offence of favourite band in the most positive review.

There's a book? Why has no one told me of this before? Here all this time I've been thinking I was a True Fan and I'm completely ignorant of this. I guess I am only a "fan," much lower on the scale of self-proclaimed adoration. I cry bitter tears. :P

Yes the writer said it was a rumor and as is usual with this group all the rumors come down to the same presumed cause. That it was a positive review overall, which I agree it was, doesn't prevent me from disagreeing with certain parts of it. I'd also prefer to see "rumors" left out of supposedly professional journalism pieces but I'm just old-fashioned that way, and I suppose Lumino can never hope to be in the top tier and thus most scrutizned of publications.

True fans find offence of favourite band in the most positive review.

I believe there is an ironic corollary to that law.
it's a bit of a smooch-ah
