FoNY in the UK top 40 for the third year in a row!

Post Mon Dec 03, 2007 4:52 pm

That's right, boys and girls - our beloved "Fairytale of New York" has cracked the top 40 again, with 3 weeks still until Christmas! its made a cracking Number 33 - not bad, considering this time last year it was only just in the top 75!

They were talking about this on Victoria Derbyshire's show on BBC Radio 5Live yesterday morning (Monday) and she confirmed to the world that it was her No 1 Christmas song whatever position the charts said it would be come Christmas day.

How nice of her!

Im considering downloading a copy a day until Christmas Eve... and I'm serious! This is one of the biggest mistakes in British Music history and deserves to be properly rectified

I'm sorry but this seems a little crazy to me. Sure we would all love to see it hit #1 but is it really that important? Wouldn't some charity be better off with your 79p a day until Christmas?

Love FToNY...truly do...and with just less than a week until the 'Christmas Chart' - what position do you think it'll reach?

With the damn X Factor out this week, it's almost certain to be number one, it's basically killed the race for the coverted 'Christmas Number One'...

I love music too mcuh to look at the charts. It is depressing when the souless corporate whore puppets hit number one with a mechanical and formulaic love song. Just look away I say...

This is great! The best way to get people to listen/see/read something is to go ahead and ban or censor it. They're playing right into our hands! <rubshandstogethergleefully>
