Can't be quite true, can it? Think of all the fuss over FoNY on TOTP... and Kirsty having to sing "ass"....

Please don't, you'll only encourage them.

I remember reading that Shane was extra miffed about losing the #1 spot to this song, because he actually liked Willie Nelson (who had a huge hit with Always on my Mind, which was not written by Elvis or Willie, but rather by Johnny Christopher, Mark James and Wayne Carson Thompson), and thought the Pet Shop Boys cover was horrific.

If Willie had written it, he would´ve like the PSB version because of the royalties. (Not that he was ever in dire need of money ... )

I saw that Neil Tennant hop out of a London taxi two weeks ago with two friends and straight into The Ivy [restaurant]. I notice he had no trouble getting a table. Tosser. But in the wee small hours he must sometimes ask himself "Is it ME who has had a Top 40 hit with a 20-year old record THREE YEARS IN A ROW??" And he will, I regret, have to answer "No."

It´s more likely that you´re confusing Abba with the Village People anyway ...

Hi everyone.

I was just wondering would any of ye know if any of the pogues are going to be around Dublin in the next few days?

I study journalism and would really like to talk to one of the lads about Fairytale of New York - stuff like how it was put together, memories associated with it etc.

If you know where to find anyone that I could talk to and don't want to put it up here, please email me - michael.mchale4@mail.dcu.ie

Its just for an assignment but I'd really appreciate it if ye could help me out!

Thanks!
Miguel
