Just a question. James?

Did you meet during Way Out West this summer in Gothenburg?

Johan,

Nope. Spider and Louise know the Shout Out Louds from I don't know when. I went to see them at the Detour festival in downtown Los Angeles, funnily enough for the first show of their US tour, with my daughter and her friend - both avid Shout Out Loud fans - and ended up bookending their tour, meeting up with them again for their last show at the Henry Fonda Theatre. I came away with some backstage photos for my daughter to coo about and a t-shirt for both my daughters to wear to school the next day. As for the Way Out West festival, I think they were on another day and we missed them, or something like that. They're an extremely lovely bunch of people and do a generously vital version of Streams of Whiskey.

If they did, I didn't meet them at that point. Spider and Louise might have come across them at Way Out West, though.

We met them at a Strokes gig a couple of years ago when they were supporting. Bebban had been a huge Nips fan when she was 13 and decided to see if Shane had done anything else with his life. That's how she found the Pogues.

I did Streams Of Whiskey again with them last Monday at the Borderline and we all ended up in some basement dive in Hanway Street dancing to the Beau Brummels.
