Camille is a French-Irish performer who first came to prominence performing Brecht, Brel etc in Dublin. She famously restaged an entire Agnes Bernelle show a few years after Agnes's death, using only an old bootleg for reference. She performed it first at the Project in Dublin, in front of an audience almost entirely composed of Agnes's family, colleagues and friends, a challenge that would have defeated many before they even started learning the first song. She was magnificent and I love her.

Thanks for that. According to the eejit who hosts the Late Late, she is playing the Olympia in Dublin this year. I'll keep a look out for it.

Plank Kenny was cringe worthy interviewing S & V. Does he not know that Shane will give a considered answer if you give him a few seconds?

Better still, she's playing the Beggar Woman in the Gate Theatre's upcoming chamber version of Sondheim and Wheeler's Sweeney Todd [OPENS TUESDAY 24th APRIL , PREVIEWS FROM WEDNESDAY 18th APRIL]

Thanks Noel. A friend in Dublin VHS-ed it for me, though I haven't actually watched it yet. Cheers.
