was in Fopp Camden Town earlier & they had copies of a free London listings paper called 'Base.ad' , Pogues are on front cover & there's a full page interview with Spider.

Think you can download a PDF of the interview here:

lol I was gonna post this yesterday and then again today, I even got as far as the New Thread page but always got distracted

I was in a pub in Putney and saw 'em on the front cover so I snapped it up straight away. Interesting interview with Spider, never knew how much he disliked singing or that he didn't play the whistle originally.

Great to see confirmation that the band are discussing the possibility of recording a new album and that it "seems to be a logical next step".

Did the band eat kebabs before, except for Spider?

Did anyone read this by the way:

With rumors fl ying around of a new album being
recorded, Stacey confi rms it is a possibility.
“We haven’t done anything yet other than
vaguely discussed the idea. It seems to be a
logical next step. If you’d asked me back in 2000
if The Pogues would be performing
live on stage together again, I’d say
no, I can’t see that happening. But
then [by] Christmas 2001, we were
doing exactly that and now we are
having this conversation”.

Yes, I just did. And I am having visions of a massively rich, mature, possibly even reflective, poetic masterpiece. Then again I just had half of a 750 ml 9% Belgian ale (brewed in Canada) which cost me $4.99, and at that price I will no doubt have the second one I bought this afternoon. Life is good. :D

Belgian yeast, belgian style, and belgian bottling method. Belgian taste. Belgian Special octane at half the cost.
