Slight problem with the cover CDs mean theres been a slight delay in it getting into shops. I'm reliably informed that it'll be in the shops at the end of the week!
Also SHAZ???????? Not Sharon Wheeler????

Anyone got a copy of the new Rock'n'Reel yet? It's in the shops now. The Virgin stores have it stocked quite prominently.
Anyone any comments on the Shane interview?

Cheers, will go on a renewed search for it this afternoon. Do you know if Smiths or HMV are stocking it?

both HMV and WH Smiths should have it. If not ask them why. I know it's no consolation but it'll keep them on their toes.

Hi Sean

Trawled the possible outlets in Cambridge yesterday evening. Sad to say neither HMV, nor WH Smiths, nor Borders had the magazine. Nor did they have any knowledge of it or record of it on their system. :(

I did tell them that they were supposed to have it. The nice guy in HMV seemed a bit concerned. In the other shops they couldn't be arsed.

Thought you might need to know this. And I'm still trying to work out how to get hold of it.

Thanks for your efforts there! Most appreciated. Hopefully (!!!!) it'll just be a glitch. I have known it for shops to actually have unopened bundles in the back and when people ask for it they deny any knowledge yet later the same day it's on the shelves.
Anyway I've forwarded your message to our publisher who at this very moment is donning a pair if size 14 bovver boots to go and kick some ass.
Thanks again for your efforts, and your help.
Cheers

Sean, I got a copy this morning in WH Smith. No sign of it in Virgin or HMV.

Hah, does that mean we count as being even more out in the sticks here?
If there's no success this weekend, I think I'll have to order online.

Think I'm going to set one of my girls on the case, and she will take no prisoners...

Erm, well, so far it hasn't appeared in Borders in Cambridge. Or anywhere else in this fair city, as far as I've been able to find out.

And apparently Borders can't check for it, because magazines aren't listed on their database. Or so they said.

So ass-kicking may well be called for.

Got a copy in this moring post(Sat).
Contents are as good as the RocknReel of old.
Good pieces on Shane Macgowan, Christy Moore, & Flogging Molly amongst others.
Does not seen to as nearly as much ads in the second half of the magazine as with other music mags.Hope this does not have an adverse affect on long term shelve life/content of the mag.

win the levellers dvd comp.

cheers for the positive review of the re-launch issue Roddy. Obviously a reader of old! I also hope that we're able to regularly pull as much advertising as required to make the mag work, although don't worry about our long term future. We're planning the first three years onwards, and I lasted 15 years running it previously as a one man enterprise!
Please (and this applies to everybody!) spread the word on the mags re-launch. We're still a 100% independent publication and probably the only mag in the UK that has stuck solidly with the likes of The Pogues when others decided they were no longer in 'fashion'.
Cheers

Saw it in Tower Records, Piccadilly Circus, if that's what that shop is still called. Looks good.
