Let's get this straight, molly: You had to go and get the book, and now they have hidden it? That sounds a tad cruel!

Who did you have to order it through Fintan? I don't reckon Tully secondhand books will have a copy somehow. :(

I was in HMV in Liverpool city centre yesterday and they had five copies.

Too late though now, I've already read mine.

Also a bit miffed as the folk music section seems to have mysteriously disappeared.

Angus and Robertson, down at Lifffffgow. You should be able to order through any decent sized bookvendor, though. It's obviously been imported into Ozistan, so anyone should be able to nab a copy for you. :)

Yeah - there are no book vendors in Mission Beach, and one (the aforementioned) in Tully...Might try and talk it out of the folks for Christmas. :)

That sounds familiar, Heather. The folk section in our HMV disappeared a while back.

It then mysteriously reappeared, upstairs, smaller and hidden among the dvds.

Think its still upstairs Heather or it could be in the little room where the quiet people go to by clasical music.

You never can tell with HMV.
They tend to fit the folk section (which all too often consists of about 6 records...) into whatever little corner they can.

The folk section in Manchester is a grand total of about 4 rows of Cds downstairs at the back

There are times when this book is funny and even sad, so you are own critic, but my advice is to track this book down and start reading, you won't be disappointed.

One of the funniest lines I thought was Darryl's suggestion that he was going to write his own book in response to Shane’s.

I was never aware that Shane had involved himself that deep into the acid house music scene. I mean I knew that he was very much influenced by, which would help to explain some of the songs that he wrote on Peace and Love, especially the unrealesed track "Contact Yourself," but I found it quite strange that Shane sometimes used to paint himself blue.

That's not strange. He's just a modern Papa Smurf
