Wow. Not good. Amateur. I'm surprised. Oh, and up against the wall with Mike. After the tour is completed and all is said and done, we should create a journalist hall of shame and post all the names of the crap reporters. We can then print it out and keep them in our wallets in case we ever meet any of the ignorant fuckers.

Making a wall of fame for good reporters would be less work ;) And instead of resorting to violence, we could enjoy the sharing of alcoholic beverages, i.e. buy the Good Reporter a drink, thus hopefully establishing the word in journalist circles that Pogues fans will buy Good Guys drinks. Like raising children, this ;)

Excellent proposal. I like that much better than my idea of hunting these people down and doing them harm.

You know, Dave, you really aren't missing much. It was supposed to be about the Pogues coming to the USA and playin NY on Paddy's Day weekend. Instead, it was Shane, Shane, Shane, .... booze, teeth, laugh, drunk, slur, etc... etc... etc... sounded to me like the guy read part of A Drink With Shane MacGowan and took it as gospel. .... dated gospel. I would like to read some good serious professional journalist, who cares to know enough about the band to write a good article, and who does not dwell on all of the above.

He was. And they used very little of it for the story.

It's what we call in the trade a Stitch Up. Disappointed, I really like NPR. Guy got ants in his pants about the "cancellation" of a MacGowan interview he was never promised in the first place. For this, I missed my dinner in Atlantic City???

Well it sounded to me like he would not have been prepared for it anyway. Others want him to live, so I have taken Mike off the hit list. You, of course can put him back on, as the band has privilege. I depend on NPR for my day to day news. I'm sure they won't miss him though. :)

E-mailing NPR to express dissatisfaction, in a polite fashion, might be about the only thing worth doing.
