The Pogues were on yet again in this evening's Corrie with Sally MacLennane. It must be a cracking juke box in the Rovers and somebody at Granada a keen fan!

I gave up watching Corrie when Ken Barlow started losing his looks.

Ah, but you are so much younger than I, Heather. Ken Barlow, when he lived with his Uncle Albert Tatlock, was real totty in his day. Circa 1964.

They'll be drawing straws on the bus who'll duet with the soon to be new resident crooner ;) if what we read in the papers is to be believed.

We had to make our own entertainment in those days.

The Pogues On Corrie!

Post Wed Dec 12, 2007 3:41 am

In last nights Corrie(Monday December 10th 2007) there was a scene with the girls from the factory having a sing a long to "Fairytale of New York", one of them mentions Shane MacGowan and wonders how he can kiss anyone due to his lack of teeth.

Raised a chuckle, anyone else catch it?

A number of famous faces have put in a cameo appearance on Corrie, including Ian McKellan, Peter Kay, Status Quo and a well-known Irish comedian (Elaine's boyfriend, briefly) whose name escapes him. Would be wonderful to see a Pogue in one or two episode s!
