ethanol pure ethanol does the trick! 100 percent proof ask at the chemist...

ok well ethanol is the alcohol found in any alcoholic beverage. for example beer has an average 5 percent ethanol content. whiskey 40 percent. you can get pure 100 percent ethanol from the chemist if you are mad....

it can be close to 100% but never 100%
usual 96% is enough...

100 percent pure ethanol exists....sure you would have to steal it from a chemist or lab... but it exists

Yep, there is a special (laboratorial, not industrial) process of further distillation, but drawing ethanol nearer to legendary 100% it turns the stuff into poison. Benzene breaks azeotrope, removes water but leaves its own tracks. So it's not a 100% pure thing again, plus poisoning...
Another problem of absolute ethanol - it absorbs water from atmosphere, you can keep it in special cans but as soon as you open it and fill your glass ethanol stops being absolute...
96,5% or 98% are you sure you can feel the difference? :wink:
