Big Issue

Post Mon Dec 19, 2005 10:47 am

Not only is the Big Issue deadly dull it's morally bankrupt. It advises against giving money to rough sleepers and tries to 'help' people by putting them back on the same capitalist slippery slope that put them at the bottom in the first place. It believes in the Thatcherite principle of self help or die. What about people of no fixed abode or to feckless or mad to help themelves? They're the ones who need our money and who am I to tell someone what he should spend it one once I've given it to him. I'm sure I wouldn't want someone telling me what to spend my money on so why should they? Rant over.
