And a most excellent performance it is, my son.

I think we need to see the pre-gig, too, Clash!

This is brilliant. I used to have this in a much higher quality version and deleted it by mistake. They also did Body Of An American the same night and it too was fantastic. They played the instrumental break (Skatalites' Guns Of Navarone) twice over.

Anyone know of a better quality version worth keeping?

EDIT........Just found it on Dailymotion

Unfortunately, while the March 1990 SNL show with Rob Lowe is available ON Demand if you have Infinity Streampix, they cut out both of the Pogues numbers. They didn't, however cut out the ending, where our late great Mr. Chevron gives Rob Lowe a big kiss on the cheek!

This video looks fantastic but what's with the copyright claims muting the sound. I've seen this happening to a few of the band's videos lately. Shite.

Agreed.

But the Pogues were not on tour in March of 2005. Philip was here in San Antonio that week. Who uploaded this video? Wasn't someone professionally videotaping in December of 2005?

It looks to be the March 17, 2006 show at the Nokia off Times Square.

Those are very nice photos, boss. Do you suppose there might be a coffee table book in the (distant) future?

You flatter me. I doubt that there might be some sort of book in the future. Two major issues would stand in the way - I don't think my photos are that good, and I wouldn't have the patience to tackle such a project anyway. But hey ... never say never, right?

Shane singing Sally Mac in Donegal with Sharon Shannon's band. A few fecked up lyrics but great craic. No problems with spot lights here

Great close up crowd.
