Hahaha very true Eckhard and I'm sure DzM will be pleased to know that you hold Medusa in the same light as you do flying cars.

:) :)

Very true, Eckhard. 8)

But I'm still disappointed not to have got those flying cars and cities on the moon... and the shiny silver suits we were all supposed to be wearing. And the food in pill form... and the space travel... All things considered, "the future" has been mostly a big let-down.

Hey, have a look at that vid:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=qF2kpkiYwVk

Shane looks SO pissed in that video. He mumbles his words during his only two solo lines, and when he sings the verse when everybody else is singing, he sings some incoherent gibberish.

It's quite a shock after seeing the beautiful Kylie Minogue. It's like the beauty and the beast.

Anybody knows when this video was recorded?

Anyway, I like that song, even though the lyrics sound a little bit childish at times.

Agreed. But the MacSoylentGreen© burgers have been, for the most part, deliciously tender and free of bovine spongiform encephalitis...

Pogues Live on SNL

Post Sat Dec 02, 2006 1:50 am

Pogues Live doing "Body of an American" on SNL March 17 1990. I finally found it on YouTube. Notice Phil looks about 16 years old in this one. Introduced by Rob Lowe.

Does Jem still join Andrew on drums at the end of Body of an American?

As far as I remember Jem tends to do this, and Shane as well.

Jem helps with the drum rolls. Shane helps with random whacking of a cymbal.

Random? Surely it's all perfectly planned and coordinated.

Shane singing Fairytale with his mom (video)

Quite priceless! The text in on Youtube says it's from The Late Late Show in 1987, but this has to be at least from 2000 or later. Enjoy.

Misc UK 2006 + Videos on You tube

Post Tue Dec 26, 2006 10:18 pm

Greetings,

Last week, I was at the Brixton Sunday Show ( was okay despite messed up sound due to the soundboard/ beer incindent), the Brixton Monday Show ( which was much better), and the Dublin show ( which really rocked with an awesome crowd). In between, I spent a night at Heathrow and by the grace of God was able to get a Wednesday Morning flight to Amsterdam.

I posted the following short videos on You Tube today from the last three years, so if you like crappy, shaky, and blurry video, have at it.
