i saw it this morning, woke up especially for it! THe band Were AMAZING...got shivers in my spine when the band kicked in and shane was singing! :D

the only thing was Katie seemed real nervous...although i can kind of sympathise for her because there is no way in hell she could match Kirst so upmost respect to her for doing the job! Once the nerves went, i thought she was brilliant though!

Made my Day....

By the way, how did you manage to wake Shane up for such an early start??? or did you keep him awake all night??

thanks!xx

Merry Christmas!!!!

But does that mean Shane hadn't been up all night?

And they blanked out Ms Melua's "arse".

i sat through the whole show and the pogues were awesome but it did show me the shocking quality of 'pop' music at the moment. Son of Dork? absouloutly shite as was mcfly's acoustic attempt. x-factor ect is kiiling the charts. it beat FONY as well as the catch JCB song (whick i kinda like) music needs a band like (or in the best case scenario a creative rebirth) The pogues to offer something new. we have these plastic teen stars and the old rock bands (the who, stones and Mcartney) and very little of any note in between. for the sake of music please do something together again.

People must be blind or deaf.

The only live thing about the performance were the vocals, the band "mimed" their performances

Shanes vocals on this occassion were brutal and he looked like death with his eyes rolling in his head. It was sad to watch.

The Ross recording had much much better vocals. I wouldn't put it down to the early start as we know it was pre recorded

I preferred the CD UK performance to the Jonathan Ross one, the sound was better, but I think Shane may have had a few, looked like it to me.

As far as I remember, yes, it looked and sounded as if the vocals on the CD:UK performance were live but the rest of the sound was not. Presumably this is usual on CD:UK.
And Shane looked as if he'd been up all night, at least... whatever time of day it was recorded.
On Ross the whole performance was live, I think.

Whose fault is that they took my advice too seriously...
