Re: Taping, DVDing, redistributing, etc. Come one people. Please, please do not have this conversation here. Email, instant messaging, etc are all excellent alternatives.

Thanks.

Story of....was terrific;informative and incisive without being sickly sentimental.

there must be an argument for including the documentary as a dvd in the box set? Think you can license such stuff from the BBC .

Don't think anyone here would begrudge paying for such a thing.

Some viewers are confusing this programme with the also excellent RTE show from 2002(?).Are you referring to Christy Moore Guest?

Well I think this show, done by the BBC, was much better than the previous show done by RTE 8)

I didn't see that one, But It was easier to understand Shane in The Fairytale doc than the Shane MacGowan story, To bad more of The band didn't get more air time.

Hi everyone,

This is my first post on the forum so please be gentle. Just wanted to say that watching the documentary last night reminded me why I was such a huge fan of the Pogues. Absolutely superb stuff.

I could happily watch a feature film on the Pogues story. I'm sure it'd make great viewing :)

Arthur

PS Yes Guest, it was Christy Moore

Finally saw this film last night - isn't it lovely?

And I think Shane just put on his eye make up without the aid of a mirror that day.
