".....Promoter Vince Power has suggested that the popular Irish music festival The Fleadh may make a return to Finsbury Park.

It's 20 years since the first Fleadh came to N4. Over the years the festival, which promotes Irish and other music, has featured performances from The Pogues, Bob Dylan, The Wonderstuff, Neil Young, Counting Crows and the Charlatans. The Fleadh has been on hiatus for a few years, but Power suggests the time may be ripe for a return.

Best news I've heard for a long time. Would be great if it does return. I loved the Fleadh, only went twice but it got me to see people I would never would have normally paid to see and the last time I went (I think in 2002) The Pogues were headlining.

It'd be great to see the Fleadh back, but it really strayed from it's roots the last time around. Sting, I'm looking at you.

I'd love to see a classic line-up next year - Pogues, Van Morrison, Christy Moore and a handful of new bands. Then, maybe best to bring it back every few years rather than annually?
